Welcome to this, my first and very probably my last ever blog. My daughter Elly suggested this might be a good way to share my experience of touring Route 66 in the USA on a Harley Davidson. I’ll be taking my laptop along for the ride and am planning to upload a daily ‘diary’ and photos at each stopover. So make sure you come back each day and see what adventures I’ve had during the 2400 mile journey.
My trip starts on Thursday June 10th, when I fly out to Chicago. The tour commences the following day and ends in Santa Monica on June 23rd. I’m then having a stopover in Vegas, with my good lady, arriving back in the UK on June 29th, by which time I expect England will be out of the world cup!
